All about Landon

Friends are very important to Landon now.  He loves to play outdoors at parks and Legos and video games inside.

He received his Yellow Tip Belt in Karate this week.  We are so incredibly proud of him.  He has done an excellent job paying attention in class so he also earned his focus badge.

This kid LOVES to read and he's EXTREMELY good at it.  He is reading chapter books as if they were baby board books.  He puts emotion and inflection in his voice as he reads and also brings the characters to life by adding voices and sound effects!  We are so proud!  He is learning to spell and write letters and numbers correctly.

He loves to be outside climbing trees, riding his bike, scooter and playing ninja.  He also loves to take walks and runs with his daddy and me.

He finished up Preschool last week and we are really going to miss his teacher and all of his friends.  We have a lot of play dates scheduled for this summer though, so hopefully we can keep in touch with his friends.

He still loves to dress up and engage in pretend play.

Here he is pretending to be a ninja fighting the bad guys on the top of a mountain.

Our biggest struggle right now is dealing with his ears.  He has gotten a few ear infections and has a lot of fluid built up in both ears so we've been to the ENT to see what we can do. After many attempts to drain the fluid and get rid of the goo way down in his ear canal, we are going to have to do an out patient procedure to clean the ears.  No one is excited about this, lease of all Landon, but it must be done.  Once the goo is removed the ENT will give us more information on what to do next.
The above picture is Landon passed out with an ear infection and fever :(
He loves Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

And most of all: Camping!

SK is 11 months

SK is 11 months old!

Landon at 11 months and SK at 11 months

What to say about this little girl?  Well, she's is incredibly sweet and curious.  She loves to move around and explore her world.  She's into EVERYTHING, but we love to see her moving about and loving life!

She is sleeping through the night consistently now with 2 naps a day (once in the morning for about 30-45 minutes and one in the afternoon for an hour to an hour and a half).

She has gotten very proficient at standing up by herself.  She has also gotten the hang of pushing the wagon.  her legs are still way too far apart to take steps on her own, but she tries by "hopping" and ends up falling on her bum every time.  She's so close though and she will now walk while we hold both her hands.

We haven't found a food she doesn't like!  Having only one tooth has not stopped her from eating pizza, sandwiches, strawberries, and her favorite: beans and corn!

This smile is contagious!

These two LOVE each other.  Landon speaks to her in a very gentle way MOST of the time.  She loves to be where he is and try and play with everything he is playing with.

Memorial Day Weekend in Harpers Ferry, WV
She loves Sand and water play as well as taking walks, picking flowers, eating sticks and rocks, and spending time with other children.

She also "pretends" to drink from cups while playing tea party and imitates so many of the things we do and say.
