A not so cold winter

So this winter hasn't been nearly as cold as last and we've had a few days where we've gotten to enjoy being outside WITHOUT our coats on!

On those truly cold days, Landon has enjoyed playing Legos, reading books, and playing Rokenbok.

On those beuatiufl unseasonably warm days, Sarah and Landon have both enjoyed playing at parks.  Landon LOVES to play Ninjas, shoot Nerf guns and ride his Ket Car.

We had a wonderful weekend with Grandma and Grandpa this past weekend :)

Sunday was so nice we had a photoshoot, grilled hamburgers and took many walks!

Love these guys!

Sarah is really working her leg and arm muscles.  She is assuming the precrawling position!  She can get around the room scooting herself backwards!

Sarah now waves "hi" and says Mama, Ba ba (for banana) and has her won way of calling for Daddy.  She also shakes her head "no" when she's all done with food.

Sarah's first word!

On January 28, 2015 Sarah said her first word:

"Mama!"

Sarah LOVES to eat!  She had her first teething biscuit last week.  She loved it!

She slept in Daddy's arms for the first time in a long time last Sunday after church.

Landon loves to talk and explore with his sister.  He talks so gently to her.  He loves to teach her new signs and demonstrate all his "cool tricks" for her.

Sarah "helps" me cook by playing happily with kitchen tools

Landon and Daddy have gotten a lot of time to play video games and board games together.  We are very excited for the warmer weather, however.  We'd love to spend much more time outside!

Landon is a sweet heart and Sarah is 7 months old

Where on earth did this big girl come from???
She has changed So much in the last month its incredible!  Sarah started sitting up on her own mid December and this has changed all our lives!  We no longer need the bouncy seat in the kitchen.  I can sit her down on the floor in every room instead of having to find a safe place to lay her down (in the laundry room that was impossible).  She can explore toys much easier now and LOVES her new view!

She's quite happy to play on the floor, rolling from her back to her front from the sitting position.  She can't get herself back up to sitting yet so she gets a little frustrated after a few minutes of "swimming" like a turtle on its back.

This girl LOVES bananas.  She also likes to try and feed herself, but hasn't quite got the hang of getting smaller bits of food into her couth just yet.
Sarah's first pickle.  She loved it!
-
Sarah had her first snow last week and though it wasn't much, Landon sure enjoyed playing in it!

My Ninja Kai!  Ths guy LOVES playing Ninjago.  He pretends to be a Ninja all the time.  We are thinking about putting him in Karate classes soon!

This is Sarah's Yell face.  She loves to be as loud as she can at times.  It really makes us laugh.  Landon also likes to join in, talking to his sister in a language only they can understand.

Meet Kylie:  Landon's "girlfriend whom he "is going to marry."

We had a great visit with Field this past weekend!  We are so lucky to have such great friends and family!

This girl outgrew her baby bath tub!  Oh my how quickly she is growing!!!

Slow down sweet baby girl!

And this guy too needs to halt!

Happy Half birthday Landon!

41/2!!!!

This guy got his hair cut for the first time in a long time.  He has a fear of it for some reason and will only let me trim it occasionally and with a struggle so when he elected to get his haircut (like Chi from Ninjago) we rushed him to the salon.  He also got to go to the movies as a reward!

A Very Merry Christmas for the Heffron's

Sarah has been perfecting her sit up skills :)

Her very favorite gift of all this year?  You guessed it:  The Bows!

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit before Christmas

We had a great time eating yummy meals and spending time with one another
This girl is such a happy and sweet little thing!
Landon has been enjoying a lot of Christmas activities such as making and playing with Gingerbread play dough, coloring and drawing and building with LEGOS!
 Christmas Eve

A tradition we started with Landon:  Opening one present on New Year's Eve with new PJ's for Christmas morning!  Also putting out milk and cookies for Santa.
 Christmas 2014

After Christmas we traveled to Myrtle Beach to spend the week with my parents.  Though my mom and dad were both a little under the weather, we still had a fantastic visit and can't wait to see them again soon!

The love and adoration between these two melts my heart.

The weather was nice for 2 days during our visit and we took advantage of it!

The water's never too cold for this guy!

Enjoying time with her daddy at the Children's Museum

Snuggles!
